| Axel. mid 20s. Male. He is introduced in Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories as a member of Organization XIII with questionable loyalties. As it turns out, his loyalties lie with Xemnas and not with Marluxia, who turns his whole faction against that of the Organization. He isn't afraid to hurt anyone in the process of achieving his goals. In the case of Chains of Memories, he completely disregarded Naminé to complete his orders for the Organization. In fact, he goes through with killing Vexen in cold blood just so that Sora can proceed and take care of Larxene and Marluxia for him. In Kingdom Hearts II, we see a new side to Axel. A less composed and desperate side. Where in Chain of Memories he always seemed in control, in Kingdom Hearts II, all Axel wants is to keep Roxas from getting hurt. He seems willing to take out whoever he hast to in order to get Roxas to come back to the Organization--to him. Eventually, as he comes to realize that Roxas has gone back to meld with Sora, he performs a kamikaze attack to save Sora (really, he confesses, for Roxas) and in doing so, betrays the entire Organization he has served so faithfully up until that point. In dying, he admits that, while he never had a heart, he still felt for Roxas. He also admits to his reckless desperation to at least make him happy, and promises that they'll see eachother in The Next Life. |

August 6; Handcuff Day (only affected indirectly by Vexen and Roxas) August 8; Gotta Catch’em All (thought to be a pokémon) August 25-26; Curse Grab-Bag Day (can't help but say what he'd rather keep secret) September 23; Roller Derby Dues (his boots turn into rollerskates) Axel has recieved a heart through the help of Roxas, who he apparently traded to give a heart to in his previous stay here. He has been filled in on the majority of what happened in his previous stay in The City, but not quite everything, as it would seem. He's on a mission of personal vendetta after Vexen for trying to hurt Roxas, but doesn't seem very concerned with the well-being of anyone else in the city. |
